Consider the word “creative” itself. It’s definition and uses are undeniably ever-evolving. At face value it’s automatically associated with concepts such as imagination, original ideas and the production of that which is artistic. To be thought of as a creative by current standards tends to follow the measurement of one’s uniqueness in art or one’s ability to manifest something that once did not exist. But like most things, it is deeper than just the surface.
In the world today, creativity and innovation operate much like an ecosystem, in that it is made up of various systems working together (both knowingly and unknowingly) to create and fuel the whole, and that whole is us.
Our history, our future, our culture and everything else that makes us. Innovators like Einstein helped us understand the world we live in a way never fathomed before, while artists like Warhol created an outlook on society viewed through art like never before.
